About Postman
Postman is a popular platform for building and testing APIs. The desktop app lets you send HTTP, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSocket and other requests, inspect responses, write test scripts and organise requests into collections.
You can use the lightweight API client without signing in — your requests then stay on your computer. Creating a free Postman account adds workspaces, cloud sync and collaboration; larger teams can buy paid plans.
Best for: Developers and testers who work with web APIs.
System requirements
- Windows: 64-bit (x64)

Safety
Where these links come from
Versions and download addresses are read automatically from winget (Windows) and Homebrew (macOS), the public package catalogues used by millions of developers. We only show a link when it points to the developer’s own official domain, and we never host, repackage or bundle the files — your browser downloads them directly from the developer.
Check the file after downloading (optional)
Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown above with the one of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file is exactly the one published by the developer.
- Windows: open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run
Get-FileHash .\filename - Mac: open Terminal and run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename
Help
Postman: frequently asked questions
Is this the official Postman download?
Yes. The download buttons link directly to the developer’s own servers (dl.pstmn.io). DownloadFrom.net does not host, modify or bundle Postman; we only list the official files and their SHA-256 checksums so you can verify them.
Which Windows file should I download?
There is one Windows download: the 64-bit installer, current user only (.exe).
Apple Silicon or Intel — which Mac file do I need?
Open the Apple menu → About This Mac. If it shows “Chip: Apple M…”, download the Apple Silicon version; if it shows “Processor: … Intel”, download the Intel version.
Is Postman free?
Postman has a free plan for individuals and small teams. Advanced collaboration and governance features require paid plans.
Can I use Postman without an account?
Yes. When you are not signed in, the desktop app opens the lightweight API client, which can send requests and keeps your history locally.
Is Postman open source?
No. Postman is proprietary software from Postman, Inc.
