About PeaZip
PeaZip is a free, open-source file archiver by Giorgio Tani that works with more than 200 archive types, including 7z, RAR, ZIP, TAR, ISO and split archives. It provides a friendly graphical interface around proven engines such as 7-Zip and Brotli/Zstandard.
Besides compressing and extracting, PeaZip offers strong encryption with optional two-factor protection (password plus key file), secure deletion of files and a built-in file manager.
Best for: Users who want a friendly, feature-rich archiver with encryption options.

Safety
Where these links come from
Versions and download addresses are read automatically from winget (Windows) and Homebrew (macOS), the public package catalogues used by millions of developers. We only show a link when it points to the developer’s own official domain, and we never host, repackage or bundle the files — your browser downloads them directly from the developer.
Check the file after downloading (optional)
Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown above with the one of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file is exactly the one published by the developer.
- Windows: open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run
Get-FileHash .\filename - Mac: open Terminal and run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename
Help
PeaZip: frequently asked questions
Is this the official PeaZip download?
Yes. The download buttons link directly to the developer’s own servers (github.com/peazip). DownloadFrom.net does not host, modify or bundle PeaZip; we only list the official files and their SHA-256 checksums so you can verify them.
Which Windows file should I download?
For most PCs, choose the recommended 64-bit installer (.exe). Pick an ARM64 file only for Windows on ARM devices (for example Snapdragon laptops), and MSI packages if you deploy software for an organisation. To check your PC, open Settings → System → About and look at “System type”.
Is PeaZip free?
Yes. PeaZip is free and open source (LGPL-3.0), with no ads or adware.
PeaZip or 7-Zip?
Both are excellent and free. 7-Zip is smaller and simpler; PeaZip has a more modern interface and extra tools such as secure delete and two-factor encryption.
Can PeaZip open RAR files?
Yes, PeaZip can extract RAR archives.
