About BleachBit
BleachBit is a free, open-source cleaner for Windows and Linux that frees disk space and protects privacy. It deletes caches, cookies, browser history, temporary files, logs and other junk left behind by thousands of applications.
Beyond simple deletion, BleachBit can shred files so they cannot be recovered, wipe free disk space to remove traces of previously deleted files, and preview exactly what it will remove before you clean.
Best for: Freeing disk space and clearing private data without bundled extras or upsells.
Cleaning cannot be undone. Use Preview first, and do not tick options you do not understand (for example, browser passwords).

Safety
Where these links come from
Versions and download addresses are read automatically from winget (Windows) and Homebrew (macOS), the public package catalogues used by millions of developers. We only show a link when it points to the developer’s own official domain, and we never host, repackage or bundle the files — your browser downloads them directly from the developer.
Check the file after downloading (optional)
Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown above with the one of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file is exactly the one published by the developer.
- Windows: open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run
Get-FileHash .\filename - Mac: open Terminal and run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename
