Kdenlive (KDE Non-Linear Video Editor) is a free, open-source video editor from the KDE community. It started on Linux and is also available for Windows and macOS, using the same MLT framework as Shotcut.

It is well suited to longer projects: a multi-track timeline, a large effects library, a titler, proxy clips for smooth editing of high-resolution footage, nested timelines and automatic subtitles generated with speech-to-text.
