About ShareX

ShareX is a free and open-source screen capture and productivity tool for Windows. With a single hotkey you can capture the full screen, a window or a region, record the screen as a video or GIF, annotate the result and share it.

What sets ShareX apart is automation: after a capture it can run a chain of actions — add effects, copy to clipboard, save, upload to one of many services and shorten the link. It also includes tools such as OCR (text recognition), a colour picker, a ruler and a QR code reader.

Best for: Anyone who takes lots of screenshots or quick screen recordings on Windows.
