Krita is a free and open-source painting program made by artists for artists, developed by the KDE community with support from the Krita Foundation. It is designed for concept art, illustration, comics, textures and matte painting.
Krita offers a large set of brush engines, a brush stabiliser for smooth lines, layers and masks, and frame-by-frame animation. It works well with drawing tablets on Windows, macOS and Linux.
