About MuseScore Studio
MuseScore Studio (formerly MuseScore) is the world’s most popular free music notation program. It lets you write, play back and print sheet music for any instrument, from a simple lead sheet to a full orchestral score. It is open source under the GPL and maintained by Muse Group with a large community.
Scores can be entered with mouse, keyboard or MIDI keyboard, and played back with built-in sounds; the optional free Muse Sounds libraries (installed via the Muse Hub app) provide very realistic playback.
Best for: Composers, students and teachers who write or arrange sheet music.

Where these links come from
Versions and download addresses are read automatically from winget (Windows) and Homebrew (macOS), the public package catalogues used by millions of developers. We only show a link when it points to the developer’s own official domain, and we never host, repackage or bundle the files — your browser downloads them directly from the developer.
Check the file after downloading (optional)
Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown above with the one of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file is exactly the one published by the developer.
- Windows: open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run
Get-FileHash .\filename - Mac: open Terminal and run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename
