About CrystalDiskInfo

At a glance: CrystalDiskInfo is a utility by Crystal Dew World. The latest version is 9.9.3 for Windows. Price: Free. Licence: MIT. Official website: crystalmark.info.

CrystalDiskInfo is a free, open-source utility from Crystal Dew World (developer hiyohiyo) that shows the health and temperature of your hard drives and SSDs. It reads S.M.A.R.T. data and summarises it as Good, Caution or Bad.

It supports SATA, NVMe and many USB drives, can alert you when a drive’s health changes, and shows details such as power-on hours, total data written and firmware version — useful for spotting a failing drive before you lose data.

Best for: Checking whether a hard drive or SSD is healthy before it fails.

Safety

Where these links come from

Versions and download addresses are read automatically from winget (Windows) and Homebrew (macOS), the public package catalogues used by millions of developers. We only show a link when it points to the developer’s own official domain, and we never host, repackage or bundle the files — your browser downloads them directly from the developer.

Check the file after downloading (optional)

Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown above with the one of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file is exactly the one published by the developer.

  • Windows: open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run Get-FileHash .\filename
  • Mac: open Terminal and run shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename

Help

CrystalDiskInfo: frequently asked questions

Is this the official CrystalDiskInfo download?

Yes. The download buttons link directly to the developer’s own servers (sourceforge.net/projects/crystaldiskinfo). DownloadFrom.net does not host, modify or bundle CrystalDiskInfo; we only list the official files and their SHA-256 checksums so you can verify them.

Which Windows file should I download?

There is one Windows download: the Universal installer (.exe).

Is CrystalDiskInfo free?

Yes. CrystalDiskInfo is free and open source (MIT licence).

What does “Caution” mean?

One or more S.M.A.R.T. values, such as reallocated sectors, have reached a warning level. Back up your data and keep an eye on the drive.

Does CrystalDiskInfo test drive speed?

No. For speed tests, the same developer makes CrystalDiskMark.
