About Adobe Acrobat Reader
Adobe Acrobat Reader is Adobe’s free app for viewing, printing, signing and commenting on PDF documents. Adobe created the PDF format, and Reader is the reference PDF viewer used in many businesses.
Reader lets you fill in forms, add comments and highlights and sign documents. Editing text, converting files and other advanced features require a paid Acrobat subscription; the app shows offers for those features.
Best for: Opening, signing and commenting on PDFs where full compatibility matters.
Reader is free. Editing and converting PDFs requires a paid Acrobat plan.

Safety
Where these links come from
Versions and download addresses are read automatically from winget (Windows) and Homebrew (macOS), the public package catalogues used by millions of developers. We only show a link when it points to the developer’s own official domain, and we never host, repackage or bundle the files — your browser downloads them directly from the developer.
Check the file after downloading (optional)
Compare the SHA-256 checksum shown above with the one of the file you downloaded. If they match, the file is exactly the one published by the developer.
- Windows: open PowerShell in your Downloads folder and run
Get-FileHash .\filename - Mac: open Terminal and run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/filename
Help
Adobe Acrobat Reader: frequently asked questions
Is this the official Adobe Acrobat Reader download?
Yes. The download buttons link directly to the developer’s own servers (ardownload3.adobe.com, ardownload2.adobe.com). DownloadFrom.net does not host, modify or bundle Adobe Acrobat Reader; we only list the official files and their SHA-256 checksums so you can verify them.
Which Windows file should I download?
There is one Windows download: the 64-bit installer (.exe).
Is Adobe Acrobat Reader free?
Yes. Reader is free for viewing, printing, filling, signing and commenting. Editing and conversion need a paid subscription.
Does this installer include extra software?
The installer listed here is Adobe’s standalone Reader package from Adobe’s own server. The download page on adobe.com may offer optional extras — untick them if you do not want them.
Is there a lighter PDF reader?
Yes. SumatraPDF is a very small, fast free reader for Windows, and most web browsers can open PDFs too.
